My journey behind eNOugh

unhinged content

About me

I’m Gaelic Jara, born in Uruguay with an Argentinian-French mix. I’m engineer by training and the CTO of eNOugh, We’re building the eNO badge, an AI miniature bodyguard that empowers people to walk alone at night with peace of mind.

Over the last few years, I’ve been deep in the chaos of bringing a startup off the ground: building prototypes at ridiculous speeds, trying to design something that looks good and actually works, flying back and forth to China to understand manufacturing from the inside, and constantly forcing myself to see the world through other people’s eyes so we create something that genuinely helps them…

It’s also been about learning how to lead, how to build a team that truly believes in the mission, and how to keep pushing even when everything feels like it’s pushing you backwards.

This Substack is where I document the journey with zero filters, what we’re building, how it started, what works, what fails, what we’re learning, and everything else happening along the way.

What I write about

  • Building a product from zero to launch

  • The real, messy side of hardware: prototypes, design, and manufacturing in China

  • What I’m learning as a first-time founder in real time

  • Understanding users by stepping in their shoes and questioning absolutely everything

  • Random sh*t I want to write about.

Why read this?

Because building hardware is hard, safety should not be question, and transparency is rare.

If you’re curious about how things get built, or you care about societal safety, you’ll find something here.
